Officer Lee Frazzano, 28, of Westwood “was found to be in possession of [c]ocaine and Oxycodone[,] thus leading to his criminal arrest and immediate suspension without pay” on July 16, the department wrote yesterday in a news release on its website.

A court hearing was reportedly scheduled for next week.

“Our internal affairs unit received information that Mr. Frazzano had become involved in illegal narcotics[,[ thus prompting our swift and immediate action. Mr. Frazzano was subsequently ordered to undergo a Reasonable Suspicion Drug Test to which he complied.

“Additional details of this incident are confidential[,] as both the criminal and internal affairs investigations are still ongoing and his cases have not been adjudicated.

“It is critical to understand that the allegations contained herein should not reflect on the exemplary professionalism of the members of this agency,” the statement adds.
