Wesley Evans, 76, told police that he didn't know he'd hit anyone after his pickup struck Tianhua Feng just after 8 a.m. Monday on Piermont Avenue in front of Pascack Valley High School.

Feng was flown by medical chopper to Hackensack University Medical Center and was most recently listed in stable condition, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said Friday.

Evans, meanwhile, continuing driving west on Piermont Avenue, the prosecutor said.

A bulletin was issued, and police soon after found the truck and Evans at a Prospect Place business, he said.

Police questioned Evans and released him pending further investigation, Molinelli said.

Evans posted $25,000 and was released pending a Municipal Court arraignment on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
