NJ Transit is “doing system testing, checking alignment on the tracks,” spokeswoman Nancy Snyder told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.
That doesn’t mean stops along the line will begin anytime soon.
“We want to make sure the system is safe before we start running passengers on it,” Snyder said.
Estimating when that could happen wouldn’t be fair — either to commuters or the repair crews, she said.
“It’s definitely a sign of progress,” Snyder told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “But we can’t open anything until we’re fully certain that everything is working through the system.”
