Hillsdale teen ticketed for careless driving in Woodcliff Lake train station crash

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 17-year-old Hillsdale boy was cited for careless driving after his plowed an SUV through a corner of the Woodcliff Lake train station and into the waiting room late this afternoon.

No one was injured after the 4:45 p.m. crash and service at the Broadway station wasn’t affected, Nancy Snyder of NJ Transit told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The building, however, sustained significant damage after being struck by the silver 2005 Toyota Highlander.

The ticket machine is on the platform and no vendors work at the facility, which was being inspected by a borough building official.

Police, firefighters and staff from TriBoro Ambulance and NJ Transit staff responded.
