Paul Marns wasn't injured in the 7:10 a.m. crash at Piermont and Everdell avenues, police said.

He'd been headed west on Piermont when the crash occurred, they said.

"While speaking with the man, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and [he] was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Hillsdale Police Department for the administration of a breath test," Detective William Diedtrich said.

"After the conclusion of test the man was issued summons for driving while intoxicated and released pending his court date in Hillsdale Municipal Court," he said.
