John Roland said he bought two separate tickets at his usual spot in town — River Drive Bar & Liquor (see map, above) — with numbers that matched the five drawn.
They bagged $292,935 each.
He also bought another that matched four numbers, winning an extra $515 and putting his grand total over $586,000.
That gave him two-thirds of the jackpot.
“I found out I had won on Friday the 13th at 6:30 a.m. when I opened the newspaper,” Roland told lottery officials. “I was pinching myself to see if I was still dreaming.”
Why’d he buy two?
“I told the clerk my numbers for the first ticket,” he said. “Then I filled out another bet slip with the same numbers and three other sets of numbers.”
