Couple OK After Car Rolls On GSP In Washington Township

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- A Danbury, CT couple escaped serious injury Thursday morning when their car rolled on the Garden State Parkway in Washington Township.

The Mercedes-Benz was headed south on the rain-slicked parkway when it rolled in the E-ZPass toll lane at Exit 166 just before 10:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.

The 62-year-old driver and her passenger sustained only minor injuries, the NJSP said.

The lane was reopened just after 11 a.m.
