Bergenfield suspended driver jailed on warrants out of four towns

ANOTHER CVP SCOOP: A weekend argument brought Bergenfield police to a home where they said they found a man who was wanted on warrants out of four towns — all for not showing up for court after he was caught driving while on the suspended list.

Records show Christopher R. McElroy, 46, was being held in the Bergen County Jail until he can make good on at least part of his arrears after he failed to pay:

$1,033 to Teaneck (Feb. 6);
$1,033 to Dumont (Aug. 14, 2012);
$600 to Bergenfield (Feb. 27, 2012);
$350 to River Vale (March 19, 2012)

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department also had a warrant ($1,556) that was dismissed today, records show.
