The woman told Bergen County Police she was standing on the highway’s eastbound side near Teaneck Road, talking on her cellphone, when a nearly 6-foot-tall man walked up from behind and put his hand on her shoulder just before 3:30 Monday afternoon.

She said she “felt something between her legs and heard [him] grunting. When she turned to look, she observed a … fully exposed penis,” a law enforcement source with direct knowledge of the incident told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“She pushed him away and started running down the ramp to Teaneck Road south,” with the man chasing after her, the source said. “He then cut across the grass and started walking north on Teaneck Road.”

Kevin Olaf Pearce

The victim provided such a good description that Teaneck police picked up a suspect a short time later.

Police identified him as Kevin Olaf Pearce, 35, of Teaneck. Charges are pending.
