"There had to be over more than 500 people there," one officer told Daily Voice on Saturday. "The bar was filled to capacity and there were hundreds of people outside.

"We brought in around 15 cars just to maintain order outside in case things got out of hand," he said.

No incidents were reported.

What action the state Alcoholic Beverage Control took couldn't be determined Saturday.

The popular Broadway nightspot draws crowds from as far as Newark and Paterson. It also draws a lot of police attention, often on Fridays, when area send units to support their Hillsdale colleagues

The owners "voluntarily shut down [Friday night] so that we could restore order," an officer said. "What happens from here on out is up to the ABC."They could face a 15-day closure for every underage person they found in there, plus whatever fines, etc.
