2 Hospitalized After 'Four Corners' Crash In River Vale

RIVER VALE, N.J. -- A car plowed into a light post in River Vale Thursday night, sending both occupants to the hospital with injuries that police said weren't life-threatening.

River Vale Ambulance Corps members removed them after their 2016 Hyundai Elantra struck the pole around 6 p.m. in front of the 7-Eleven on Rivervale Road at what's known as the Four Corners, Detective Sgt. John DeVoe told Daily Voice.

The 51-year-old driver from Bergenfield and 36-year-old backseat passenger from New Milford were taken to HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley, he said.

Brookside Towing removed the damaged vehicle.

The light post also was damaged, DeVoe said.
