13 Occupants: Two Ejected, One Pinned In Woodcliff Lake GSP Van Crash

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Two people were ejected and another pinned under a van packed with 13 people that crashed on the Garden State Parkway in Woodcliff Lake late Wednesday.

6 were seriously injured -- not life-threatening, though, police said.

Remarkably, only six had serious injuries -- none life-threatening -- after the Ford Econoline careened off the Parkway and into the woods at mile marker 169.9 just after 11:30 p.m., Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.

Woodcliff Lake firefighters extricated the pinned occupant, he said.

The dozen passengers were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and the driver to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Goez said.

The scene was cleared by 1:30 a.m., he said.
