He earned a B.S. in Chemistry in 1953 from the City College of New York and was a successful entrepreneur for 60 years. He changed businesses as technology progressed and one of his later ventures was East Coast Vending, a major New York newspaper distribution and vending machine company. He was a die hard Mets fan and an avid movie goer.
He is survived by his wife Judi Rothberg; Charles Rothberg and Maryellen Rothberg; Barbara Rothberg Honor and Michael Honor; grandchildren Michelle Honor, Dana Honor and Angelika Rothberg; sister-in-law Susan Lewandowski. He is also survived by brother Murray Rothberg and brothers-in-law Brian Lewandowski and Robert Lewandowski, and many family and friends. The family is especially grateful for the skilled and compassionate care provided by MSKCC, particularly Dr. Dean Bajorin and Beau.
