Nella Marcellina Rose Pardi, 102, Of Woodcliff Lake

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Nella Marcellina Rose Pardi, a Woodcliff Lake resident died Oct. 29. She was 102. 

She was born Jan.1, 1913, in Union City (then West Hoboken), to Dionigio and Martina (nee Reggiani) Menghini. 

Nella and her family moved from New Jersey to Elmhurst Long Island in the late 1920s, where she was employed by the New York Telephone Co. as an operator.

She raised her sons in Fresh Meadows, Queens, where all three of her sons were born and raised and where she remained until 2005. 

She is survived by her sons, Ronald and his wife Gwen of Park Ridge, Richard and his wife Joan of Hawthorne, and Russell and his wife Christine of Naples; sister, Margherita, of Florham Park; grandchildren, Jeanne, Laura, Luke, Sarah and Nicole; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Maxwell, Megan, Hayden, Dylan and Travis; and many nieces and nephews. 

Pardi was predeceased by her husband, Ray, in 1984 and three brothers. 

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, Park Ridge. Interment will be in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing, N.Y.
