Troopers were looking for three men suspected of stealing jewelry from a vehicle at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop in Mercer County, authorities said. State police shared three photos of the suspects in a Facebook post on Friday, Oct. 4. Authorities are hoping the public can help them investigate a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a 76-year-old pedestrian in Kearny. They recovered the vehicle believed involved in the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Kearny and Columbia avenues shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday, May 30, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Wayne police sought the public's help identifying a business burglar who was recorded on surveillance video. "We have been unable to identify the suspect and are seeking the public’s assistance in doing so," Police Capt. Daniel Daly said. Note the tattoo on the suspect’s left upper arm, authorities said. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is asking the public's help identifying and locating a male sought in connection with a slaying in Newark March 17. Deante Barr, 18, was shot and killed around 10 p.m. in the 900 block of South Orange Avenue.
