Authorities have released body camera video of the incident when a Toms River man died while police tried to detain him. The state Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability made the footage public on Tuesday, Nov. 26. An early-morning crash involving a box truck brought a large emergency response to Route 80 in Bergen County Friday, June 21. Firefighters were called to the westbound lanes at milepost 65.5 just after 3:20 a.m., where a Mercedes Benz had rear-ended a box truck, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
