Woman Charged With Bilking Disabled Wilton Resident WILTON, Conn. -- A Waterbury woman is facing charges of theft and credit card fraud against a disabled Wilton resident, police said. Sequan Monice Francis, 23, was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday by Connecticut State Police from Troop A in Southbury. She was stopped in a car that had been involved in a larceny in Danbury, police said. Troopers discovered that Francis had active warrants against her from the Wilton Police Department, police said. The 24-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday, Yonkers Police said. He was taken a local trauma center where he was treated and released, police said. Metro-North Riders Prepare For 1% Fare Hikes In New Year FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A fare increase of 1 percent goes into effect Jan. 1 on the Connecticut portion of the Metro-North New Haven Line. This is the fifth of seven consecutive annual increases requested by Connecticut Department of Transportation to help finance the new M-8 cars.  This increase will affect ticket prices for travel between Connecticut and New York stations and between stations within Connecticut. Man Charged With Felony DWI In Route 9 Stop PHILIPSTOWN, N.Y. -- A Bronxville man is facing a felony drunken-driving charge after his arrest Saturday, according to police.  New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Christopher J. Kovi, 50, of Bronxville, on Saturday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, a class E felony.  Troopers observed a vehicle stopped on Route 9 near Route 301 and stopped to conduct a welfare check on the driver.
