Officer Matthew McQuire stopped the Westchester, NY trio in a 1998 red Mercury Mountaineer on Friday after security guards at Best Buy spotted one of them, Deputy Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti said this morning.

In the vehicle was $3,000 worth of Playstations, consoles, games (Grand Theft Auto and others) and gift cards bought from the store with a credit card swiped from an unsuspecting customer at Fairway Market earlier that day, he said.

Passenger Stephanie Pruitt, 57 (below, left), was carrying heroin, as well, Guidetti said.

Detectives were working with other agencies to determine where else the crew might have operated, he said.

Pruit was charged with fraud, possession of stolen property and drug possession.

Her two companions, Toni Green, 52, and 53-year-old Gregory Barnes, were charged with fraud and possession of stolen property.

Green’s image was captured on a surveillance camera (above), courtesy of Paramus police.

All three were being held on $15,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail.
