No Injuries In Early Morning Paramus Basement Blaze

PARAMUS, N.J. – The Paramus Fire Prevention Bureau is investigating the cause of a Thursday morning house fire, police told Daily Voice.

No one was injured in the structure fire that occurred at 463 Spring Valley Rd., and the origin does not appear to be suspicious in nature, police said.

The Paramus Fire Department responded at 2:35 a.m., and found a deep seated, fully involved fire in the basement of the home, and residents had already evacuated, police said.

The fire was under control by 3 a.m., and units were on the scene until about 6 a.m., police said.

Paramus Engine 1, Engine 4, Truck 4, and Paramus EMS responded, and fire units from Maywood, Washington Township, Fair Lawn and New Milford responded to provide coverage for the rest of Paramus during the incident, police said.
