PARAMUS, N.J. -- David S. Shwartz, of Paramus, died on Monday, Dec. 19. He was 68.
Born in New York City and raised in Paterson, he resided in Paramus, before moving to Pennsylvania 20 years ago. He attended the University of Colorado Boulder and was a devout fan of their athletic teams. He coached Paramus soccer, baseball and basketball. He was a loyal NY Yankees fan. Prior to retiring, he was employed in sales.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Novellino) Shwartz; children, Drew Shwartz and wife Nicole and Dawn Conville and husband John; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ethan and Liam.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2-6 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral service is planned for Friday, Dec. 23, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 would be appreciated.
