Bergen Catholic Alum Named MVP Of Bentley University Swim Team

PARAMUS, N.J. — Bergen Catholic alum Ryan McGeary of Paramus was recently honored as the MVP of the 2016-17 Bentley University men’s swimming and diving team following an outstanding sophomore season.

Frank Elenio of Ridgefield, a Bergen County Academies alum, was voted to the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference team.

At the NE10 Championships, McGeary earned silver in the 200 yard freestyle, the 500 free, the 800 free relay and the 400 free relay.

The six-foot-eight McGeary owns the school record in the 200 free (1:41.82) as well as three relays. During the dual season, he earned seven first-place finishes.

Bentley captured the Northeast-10 Conference championship for the second team in program history after posting a perfect 11-0 dual record.
