Toms River police are looking for a man who attacked a convenience store employee in an attempted robbery, authorities said. Officers were called to the Speedway gas station on Route 37 East at around 3:28 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, the Toms River Police Department said in a news release. The suspect wearing a ski mask went into the store, walked behind the counter, and tried to open a safe. The 33-year-old rider of an electric bicycle struck and killed by a vehicle in Toms River has been identified, authorities said. Michael Cerrachio of Little Egg Harbor reportedly swerved into traffic before the fatal crash on Wednesday, Sept. 27, Toms River police said. Two teenagers were arrested in connection with an assault and robbery of a man in a Jersey Shore restaurant bathroom, authorities said. On Sunday, Sept. 17, at approximately 2 a.m., Toms River police were called to a restaurant on Route 37 East for a report of an injured man. Police did not identify the restaurant.
