Car Flips, Burns Closing Route 70 In Toms River
A car overturned and burst into flames prompting the closure of Route 70 in both directions in Toms River, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 near Massachusetts Avenue (Route 637), according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Serious Crash Reported In Toms River: Report
A medical chopper was called to the scene of a Toms River crash Friday, Nov. 4, the Lakewood Scoop reports. The incident happened before 11:30 a.m. on Old Freehold Road near Wilkinson Street. Crews needed to cut a trapped victim out of one of the vehicles, TLS said. Click here for more from TLS.

Body Of NJ Man Found In New Orleans 2 Months After Disappearance: Report
The body of a 33-year-old New Jersey man was found in New Orleans more than two months after his disappearance, The Lakewood Scoop reports. Michael Gelfand, of Jackson, was found dead in NoLa on Monday, March 21, the outlet said citing sources. His body is being flown back to New Jersey for burial. Gelfand arrived in New Orleans on Jan. 5 for business and was scheduled to return to his home in New Jersey on Jan. 6, police said. His family has not heard from him since Jan. 6. Video Shows Lakewood School Bus Smash Parked Cars
A bus filled with Lakewood school children was captured on video plowing into two cars after careening into a moving vehicle on Central Avenue. Video published by The Lakewood Scoop captured the second part of the crash, where the bus hits the parked cars. The bus pushed one parked car out of its path on impact, and rams another car parked along Glen Avenue then came to a stop. Brick Township Fire Destroys Waterfront Homes
Firefighters battled a raging blaze in Brick Township resulting in injuries and destruction to multiple waterfront homes Monday afternoon. The fire broke out at 31 Bay Way in the Bay Harbor section of the township around 3:30 p.m., bring crews from across the Jersey Shore to the scene. Wind caused flames to spread to the home next door. Reports: FBI Agents Raid Lakewood Warehouse
Nearly two dozen FBI agents and other law enforcement officers descended on a warehouse in Lakewood Industrial Park on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. Several local news outlets reported that N-95 masks -- necessary protective gear during the coronavirus outbreak -- were being sold at a business at the warehouse off Swarthmore Avenue.
