The G Man is down, but not out.
The Keansburg community is coming together to support Charles "Buddy" Reeves, a.k.a. the G Man who has been collecting garbage in the town for 44 years.
He recently suffered a medical emergency while working, according to a GoFundMe set up to support Reeves while he recovers from a brain mass. As of Thursday, Dec. 14, more than $1,300 has been raised.

Monmouth County is showing its support after the unexpected death of a devoted dad, Acronis Sales Director, and youth football coach at 46.
Gregory Joseph Howard, of Colts Neck, died Wednesday, July 19.
Born in Orange, Gregory grew up in West Caldwell before attending and playing football at Monmouth University, his obituary says.

Community support is growing for a boy left alone by his parents' deaths in Central Jersey.
David's mom, Jaclyn Aochoa, died on May 18, 2023. His dad, David Aochoa, died in 2019.
David will remain in the care of his Aunt Cheryl, according to his mom's obituary, which also notes she had a fierce love for her son.

The death of Toms River High School East senior Michael J. Goodfriend has prompted a massive wave of support throughout the community.
Michael died at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, his obituary says. He was 17.
A lifelong Toms River resident, Michael was a high honor roll student who enjoyed music, drawing, and skateboarding.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Francis and Debra Martinez; his siblings, Erick, Krista, Destiny, Victoria and Claudia Goodfriend; and many friends.

A 29-year-old police officer ambushed and killed while on his way to work as a police officer in Raleigh, NC has been buried in New Jersey — his home state.
