Newark Man Convicted Of Teenage Girls' Sex Assaults A 53-year-old man from Newark has been convicted of sexually assaulting two teenage girls, authorities said. Thomas Crandell was convicted of all 26 counts brought against him in the indictment, including five counts of aggravated sexual assault, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
