: Charges Upgraded For 34-Year-Old NJ Son After Dad Dies
Charges have been upgraded for a 34-year-old Sussex County man whose father died days after he shot him, authorities said. Donald Simpson, 70 was initially flown to Morristown Medical Center in critical condition after he was shot multiple times by his son, Daniel Simpson, at his home in Wantage on Jan. 22, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Simpson died of his injuries on Wednesday, Jan. 25, Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray said. A man was shot and killed in a confrontation with police in Millville, authorities confirmed Wednesday. New Jersey's attorney general released surveillance video Friday of an incident involving a 41-year-old Atlantic County Jail inmate who later died after being taken to a local hospital.
