Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Van, Other Vehicle Involved In Summit Crash A van and another vehicle were involved in a collision near Broad and Orchard streets in Summit shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a witness and preliminary reports.   The scene was cleared by about 10:30 a.m., the witness also said.  This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

3 Shot, One Killed, In Second Straight Night Of Deadly Violence In Newark One person is dead and two others injured in a shooting in Newark Tuesday night, police said.  The victims, identified only as males, were shot on Clinton Place. One of the wounded was reportedly in critical condition, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said.  Ambrose referred additional inquiries to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.  The shooting comes on the heels of a pair of shootings Monday night that left one person dead and wounded four others . Those shootings occurred on South 8th Street and were also under investigation by the prosecutor's office.

Hackensack Man Accused Of Assaulting Secaucus Police In Bar Fight A Hackensack man fought with police at a Secaucus go-go bar early Sunday morning, leaving an officer with a fractured thumb, a spokesman for the police department said.  Officers were called to AJ's Go-Go Nightclub and Sports Bar, 201 Secaucus Road, shortly before 2 a.m. on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, Stefan Autie, 30,  shoved and punched the officers, the spokesman said.  Autie was charged with aggravated assault against two police officers, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Livingston Mall Announces Thanksgiving, Black Friday Hours Livingston Mall, 112 Eisenhower Parkway, will open Thanksgiving night and reopen early the next day, Black Friday, a spokeswoman for the mall's owner, Simon, said.  The mall will be open from 5 p.m. Nov. 28 and will close at 1 a.m. Friday. It will reopen at 6 a.m. and remains open until 10 p.m.  Livingston Mall has more than 100 shops and eateries.
