Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show.

Van, Other Vehicle Involved In Summit Crash A van and another vehicle were involved in a collision near Broad and Orchard streets in Summit shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a witness and preliminary reports. The scene was cleared by about 10:30 a.m., the witness also said. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

3 Shot, One Killed, In Second Straight Night Of Deadly Violence In Newark One person is dead and two others injured in a shooting in Newark Tuesday night, police said. The victims, identified only as males, were shot on Clinton Place. One of the wounded was reportedly in critical condition, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said. Ambrose referred additional inquiries to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. The shooting comes on the heels of a pair of shootings Monday night that left one person dead and wounded four others . Those shootings occurred on South 8th Street and were also under investigation by the prosecutor's office.

Bayonne Man Charged In Burglary Spree Bayonne police have charged a city man in a series of recent break-ins and thefts at a number of city businesses. Darius Rivera, 23, has been charged in connection with incidents occurring Nov. 11 and a week later, on Monday. On the earlier date, he was found to be in possession of a car stolen out of Jersey City and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Also on the 11th, police say he broke into Pizzalino pizza by breaking a glass door, although nothing was taken. Fox Bites Three In Glen Ridge, Two Others Also Attacked A fox was euthanized Friday after it bit three people and attacked a total of five, Glen Ridge police said. Police were called to Woodland Avenue on a report of an animal bite around 9:15 a.m. The person had been bitten by a red fox, police said. As police and animal control officers from neighboring Bloomfield searched for the animal, two more people were bitten. Linden Man Charged With Arson, Assaulting The Police Who Responded To Fire A Linden man who authorities say set a bed on fire in his home over the weekend and then attacked responding police officers now faces multiple charges, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. New York Admit Running $500K Ponzi Scheme A married couple from West New York pleaded guilty to multiple offenses related to an investment firm that was really cover for a Ponzi scheme, the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey said Monday. Hackensack Man Accused Of Assaulting Secaucus Police In Bar Fight A Hackensack man fought with police at a Secaucus go-go bar early Sunday morning, leaving an officer with a fractured thumb, a spokesman for the police department said. Officers were called to AJ's Go-Go Nightclub and Sports Bar, 201 Secaucus Road, shortly before 2 a.m. on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, Stefan Autie, 30, shoved and punched the officers, the spokesman said. WNY Couple Lied About Military Duty To Get Insurance Payout: Prosecutor A West New York couple turned themselves in Friday after they were charged with fraudulently obtaining insurance reimbursement for a cancelled trip, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
