Known For: Patrons call this a great little hole-in-the-wall spot for good grub at a little cost. The sign atop this retro diner, which does breakfast and lunch, boasts of 21 “egg plate varieties” from omelettes to egg sandwiches. It also serves favorites like home fries hot off the grill. And for those cholesterol-phobic folks, the Platter also offers non-egg items on the menu, like pancakes, waffles, and wheat toast.
Behind the Scenes: Many customers have made this their go-to spot when they’re hankering for an old-school breakfast. But they have to bring cash; The Egg Platter doesn’t take credit cards.
