Morris County Volunteer Firefighter, 22, Dies In Hunter Mountain Ski Accident A 22-year-old volunteer firefighter from Florham Park was killed after he fell while skiing at Hunter Mountain in New York, authorities said. Robert Vrablik was on the Twilight trail with his sister and a friend when he fell and landed on his face and chest around 3 p.m. Saturday, New York State Police said. Vrablik was responsive while being taken to Albany Medical Center but declared dead at 7:18 p.m., police said. Cardiac contusion was the cause of death, the DailyFreeman reports. Marc Vindas is one of the eight young strangers leaving their regular lives for some quality time at Hunter Mountain, a prime East Coast destination for winter sports.  Vindas studied pre-med at Boston College and works as a research assistant at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the network said.
