He covered himself with a huge sheet of plastic, wore a reflective vest and had a distinctive walk, said Englewood police who released surveillance video Friday of a thief who snatched cash from a liquor store. The thief headed straight behind the counter at Oprandy’s Wine & Liquor store last Friday night and grabbed the cash – then was scared off by the two owners, dropping some of the undisclosed proceeds as he ran, Detective Capt. A 29-year-old man was transported to the hospital after he was found with two gunshot wounds early Sunday morning, authorities said. Englewood police officers were responding to a disturbance on Bennett Road at approximately 2:30 a.m., when they heard gunshots a short distance away, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. A $1,000 reward was posted Friday for information that helps authorities find the hit-and-run driver whose sedan struck and severely injured an Englewood skateboarder. Englewood PD Tracing Gun That Fleeing Group Left Behind
A crowd scattered as Englewood police approached earlier this week, leaving a loaded gun behind, authorities said. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected the firearm for ballistic testing, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. ENGLEWOOD, N.J -- An ex-con with a stolen semi-automatic handgun in his waistband fought with Englewood police before being subdued, authorities said. Officer Anthony Gallo was on a drug investigation in the area of First Street and Epps Avenue around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday when 21-year-old Englewood resident Paul Antonio Howell "became uncooperative," Capt.
