A former Bethlehem police officer has been charged with stalking and harassing another police department employee — someone he used to be in a relationship with, authorities announced. Noah Klingborg, 27, is expected to turn himself into the Bethlehem City Police Department on Tuesday afternoon, Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck said in a press release. The family of a Connecticut woman who was found dead in her apartment is upset over the way her death was handled is being backed by TikTok users. Lauren Smith-Fields, 23, of Bridgeport, was found dead in her apartment on Sunday, Dec. 12 by Bridgeport police after a date with 37-year-old Matthew LaFountain, whom she met on a dating site. UPDATE: A Clifton man admitted that he sent Paterson’s first Muslim police chief threatening texts because of his race, religion and nationality, authorities said. Stefan Keco, 29, told a Superior Court judge in Paterson on Monday that he sent the texts to Chief Ibrahim Baycora on Feb. 26 “with the purpose to terrorize him and in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror,” Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said. Firefighter Rescued After Wall Collapses In Passaic Multi-Family Blaze
Firefighters rescued one of their own in a blaze that ripped through a three-story brick walkup in Passaic during the overnight snowstorm, authorities said. The firefighter, who was rescued after a wall collapsed in the 4th Street building, was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson. A woman who police say jumped in front of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr.'s car while he was driving and threatened to kill him was being held in jail.
