Old Tappan vehicle involved in Washington Township crash

ONLY ON CVP: An Old Tappan municipal vehicle collided with an SUV outside Seasons Restaurant in Washington Township this morning.

Two occupants were hospitalized after a Toyota RAV 4 and the borough-owned Dodge Durango crashed just after 10 a.m. at the rain-slicked intersection of Washington Avenue and Meisten Street.

Ambulances from River Vale and Hillsdale transported the victims. Both damaged vehicles were removed by flatbed tow trucks.

Hillsdale police assisted their Washington Township colleagues with traffic control.
