At 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5, the group will host guest speaker Jeffrey Van Pelt, the horticulture supervisor at the Somerset County Park Commission Colonial Park Gardens.

Van Pelt, who has years of experience gardening, will present a lecture called "Easy Care Perennials."

At 10 a.m. Nov. 7, the club will host a Beautification of Downtown Harrington Park event that will allow people the opportunity to clean out planter barrels. Participants are urged to bring garden gloves, a kneeler and a towel.

On Nov. 22, Gerri Gibney will hold a "Make-It & Take-It" Thanksgiving workshop to discuss how to create a Thanksgiving centerpiece. All materials for the project are supplied, though there is an admission fee of $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required for the 2 p.m. event.

At 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, the group will hold a "Nibbles & Sweets" holiday party for members and their guests at Gibney's home. Members are expected to bring appetizers and desserts.
