Music Legend Kenny Loggins To Speak, Sing In Northvale

NORTHVALE, N. J. -- Grammy-winning musician Kenny Loggins is planning an appearance Oct. 15 at Books and Greetings in Northvale to sign copies of his new children's book, "Footloose," and to entertain the crowd.

Store officials say Loggins, a well-known performer since the 1970s who wrote the them to the movie "Footloose" and other songs on the soundtrack for the 1980s film, plans to bring his guitar to the noon event.

His book, "Footloose" features Jack the zookeeper having a dance party with animals in the zoo, including a chimp Louise, Mister DJ Elephant, lemur Marie, Milo the wombat, and Luke the cat. The book also includes a CD with new recordings by Loggins, including new lyrics for his classic "Footloose" song.
