Poughkeepsie Schedules Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The City of Poughkeepsie's annual Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular will take place Saturday, July 2.  Residents can best view the show from Waryas Park for free, or purchase tickets to watch them from the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum or the Walkway Over the Hudson.  The spectacular will begin at dusk at approximately 9:20 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, July 3.

Easton's South Park Avenue Bridge Narrows To One Lane EASTON, Conn. -- A lane closure is in effect for the South Park Avenue bridge near Riverside Lane, according to the Easton Courier.  The bridge is currently open only to single, alternating one-lane traffic and will remain that way for the foreseeable future, the Easton Courier reported.  The Easton Public Works Department is analyzing long-term solutions, said the Easton Courier. Weekend hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., while weekday hours are from 3 to 7 p.m.  Permits may be purchased at the Recreation office weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office will stay open late until 6 p.m. on Monday, June 20.  Permits are required for tennis players for play on all Village courts.  The Village Hall's summer hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday.
