An Upper Saddle River woman returning home with her two grade-school children was terrified to find her ex-boyfriend hiding behind her couch – but that wasn’t all, police said.
Scott DiSarno Jr., a former executive with a large real estate company, cut the circuit breakers, then took a planned escape route out when he was spotted, Detective Lt. Edward Kane said.
He also posed as the woman online, using her phone number, “an attempt to solicit sexual encounters and pornographic photos," Kane said.
Police charged DiSarno with burglary for last Tuesday's break-in, along with stalking, cyber harassment and harassment.
They sent him to the Bergen County Jail – only to have a judge release him hours later under New Jersey’s 2017 bail reform law.
DiSarno has various social media accounts, some of which feature photos of him with sports celebrities, including former Yankees Bernie William and Jim Leyritz. He formerly was an associate vice president with Cushman & Wakefield.
For that reason, authorities asked that readers share this story in case there may be other victims or potential victims. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact either Saddle River police at (201) 327-270 0 or their local police department.
