Tickets sold in Bridgewater and Stirling, respectively, matched four of the five numbers plus the red Powerball in the drawing held on Wednesday, April 3, winning $50,000.  The tickets were sold at Food Market in Bridgewater and Lukoil in Stirling. The winning numbers were 11, 38, 41, 62 65 and the red Powerball was 15.

Man Struck, Killed By Train In Somerset County A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Somerset County on Monday afternoon, Dec. 18, authorities said. The man was fatally struck by the Gladstone Branch train 421 just west of the Basking Ridge station shortly before 2:55 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. The train had left Hoboken at 1:22 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Gladstone at 3:19 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 10 customers and crew members on board. Police: Unlicensed Driver, 37, Crashes Into Morris County Drainage Pipe, Flees A Brooklyn woman was driving without a license when she crashed into a drainage pipe in a Morris County yard and fled the scene, authorities charged. Sonia Martinez, 37, drove onto a private yard on Warren Avenue in Stirling and hit a drainage pipe around 11 a.m. Nov. 26, Long Hill Township police said. Martinez drove away but was later apprehended, police said. She was charged with careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and unlicensed driving. Martinez is scheduled to appear in Long Hill Township Court.

Morris County ShopRite Stores Impose Customer Limit Amid Coronavirus Spread More than two dozen New Jersey ShopRite stores have implemented customer limits in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. The maximum number of customers will be roughly 30 percent of the store’s regular maximum occupancy, ShopRite said in a statement. A security guard will be stationed at entrances and exits to track the number of customers coming in and out. Only one entrance per store will remain open. A parked car on  Johnson Avenue in Gillette was damaged when it was hit around 10:40 a.m. March 3, Long Hill police said in a release. Nearly 30 minutes later, the same thing happened on Lupine Way in Stirling. Anyone with further information is asked to call the Long Hill Police Department at 908-647-1800.
