‘Another Chance At Life:’ Madison Officer, Passerby Nurse Save Man, 53, Unconscious On Sidewalk A Madison police officer and a passerby nurse worked together to save the life of a man who had collapsed on the sidewalk and gone into cardiac arrest Saturday afternoon. Madison Police Patrolman Patrick Strafaci responded “within seconds” to the area of Main Street near Station Road after a caller stated that a man was lying unresponsive on the sidewalk around 12:10 p.m., authorities said. Strafaci evaluated the 53-year-old patient, a Madison resident, and determined that he was not breathing, did not have a pulse, and had gone into cardiac arrest.
