Crews Douse Massive Sussex County Car Fire (

Emergency crews in Sussex County were quick to douse a car that went up in flames on Route 15 Thursday evening. Engine 3 with the Sparta Township Fire Department responded to the billowing blaze near milepost 11.5 in Sparta around 6:20 p.m. The department worked alongside Sparta volunteers to extinguish the blaze while minimizing delays to traffic. Wawa To Break Ground In Sussex County
Wawa will be breaking ground in Sussex County on Dec. 10 for the opening of their newest location, NJ Advance Media reports. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Wawa will happen at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Route 15 and Route 206 in Frankford Township. The store will occupy the former space of The Chatterbox, an iconic New Jersey drive-in restaurant that shut down three years ago and was demolished in March 2021. Multiple Injuries In 2-Car Crash On Route 15, Police Say
Multiple people were injured Monday night in a two-car crash on Route 15 in Jefferson, police said. The vehicles collided in the northbound lanes near milepost 4.1, about 400 feet north of Berkshire Valley Road, around 8 p.m., Jefferson Township Police Capt. Robert Bush told Daily Voice. Occupants of both vehicles suffered minor injuries and were taken to Morristown Medical Center and St. Clare’s in Denville for treatment, Bush said. Additional details were not immediately released.

Pedestrian Stable Days After Jefferson Hit-Run
Police have identified the driver of a vehicle that fled after hitting a pedestrian in Jefferson, authorities said. A 25-year-old man was walking near 619 Route 15 southbound when he was struck by the car Sunday around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Jefferson Township police said. The man, who was found on the side of the road with head and upper body injuries, was flown to Morristown Medical Center and is in stable condition. : SUV Overturns, Topples Route 15 Utility Pole In Jefferson
A car veered off Route 15 and slammed into a utility pole in Jefferson Thursday. Traffic was being detoured through the former Pathmark around 11 a.m., closing the northbound side of the highway as crews worked to repair the pole at the Bowling Green Parkway intersection. : Truck Towing Motorcycle Stunt Circle Slams Street Sign On Route 15 In Jefferson
A truck towing an iron motorcycle stunt circle slammed into a street sign on Route 15 in Jefferson Wednesday afternoon. The southbound side was down to one lane as of 3 p.m., Jefferson police said. No injuries were reported. Witnesses said the driver was pulled over trying to fix something on the vehicle near ShopRite in Sparta prior to the crash.
