Update: Man Struck, Killed By Train In Hackensack A 20-something man died of his injuries after being struck by a commuter train Monday afternoon in Hackensack, authorities said. The man was struck by a Pascack Valley Line train near the Essex Street station shortly after 3:30 p.m., they said. The #16523 train had left Hoboken at 2:58 p.m. bound for New Bridge Landing, NJ Transit's Paul Milo said. Pedestrian Struck By Montclair-Boonton Line Train A pedestrian was struck by an NJ Transit train Wednesday in Montclair. The man was seriously injured but survived after he was hit by the train near the Upper Montclair station at Bellevue Avenue around 4:35 p.m., NJ Transit spokesman Paul Milo said. Montclair-Boonton Line service was temporarily suspended but resumed with 45-minute delays shortly after.  None of the approximately 15 customers and crew members on board the train were injured, Milo said.  NJ Transit police are investigating.

Witnesses alerted nearby officers when a female commuter fell from the platform onto Track 4 just after 2 p.m. Monday, NJ Transit Spokesman Paul Milo said. Man's Body Found On Hackettstown Train Tracks A man's body was found on train tracks in Hackettstown Monday, authorities said. Crew members on a non-revenue train discovered the man's body around 6 a.m. near the Hackettstown Train Station, NJ Transit spokesman Paul Milo said. NJ Transit police were investigating the incident possible train strike, although no NJ Transit trains reported a pedestrian strike.
