A Warren County man was charged with DWI after allegedly crashing into a Long Valley ambulance while driving drunk. The crash occurred in Hackettstown on Tuesday, May 23 around 10:25 p.m. at the intersection of Route 46 and Route 604. Brett Gray, 30, of Independence Township, was behind the wheel of a 2021 Kia heading westbound on Route 46 when he made a right turn onto Route 604 northbound and hit a Long Valley First Aid Squad ambulance that was stopped at the traffic light on Route 604 southbound, police said. A head-on crash caused minor injuries and damaged a stone bridge in Morris County on Monday night, requiring a follow-up structural assessment, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash on the bridge over the South Branch of the Raritan River at Schooley's Mountain Road. A dump truck driver was seriously hurt after the vehicle overturned in Morris County Tuesday morning, authorities said. The Long Valley Fire Company responded to the crash on Schooley’s Mountain Road just before 7:10 a.m., the department said. The driver was extricated with help from the local first aid squad and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Two people were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash with EMS and Rescue 1 and 2 in Long Valley during the afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Long Valley Fire Company No. 1 tended to a fluid spill while EMS crew members treated two patients at the scene and transported them to nearby hospitals, the squad said. One person had to be extricated and two others were hospitalized following a serious crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash during the afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 6, the department said. Crew members stabilized the vehicle and used a cross ram technique to remove the b-pillar from the victim. Residents Displaced By Long Valley Apartment Fire
Several residents were displaced by a fire that damaged a Washington Township apartment complex earlier this week, authorities said. Firefighters responding to the Peachtree Apartments in Long Valley found smoke inside of a first-floor apartment on Thursday, March 10 around 8:10 p.m., police said. Adjacent buildings were evacuated as crews battled the blaze, which rose to a second alarm. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin. No injuries were reported. First responders were quick to rescue a victim trapped inside a vehicle following a Monday afternoon crash in Morris County, authorities said. The two-car crash occurred on Schooley’s Mountain Road near Cataract Park in Washington not long before 2:45 p.m., township police said. Longtime New Jersey physician and beloved father of four Dr. Christopher Paul Muenzen was killed after being struck by a car in Montana at the age of 66, reports say. Muenzen was struck by a 36-year-old man attempting to back up a Chevy Silverado in downtown Helena around 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 21 and died as a result of of blunt force injuries, KTVQ reports citing Helena Police. Raised in Rahway, Muenzen went to St. Joseph High School in Metuchen and graduated from Cornell University, his obituary says. : Firefighter Injured In Morris County Barn Blaze
A firefighter was injured while battling a stubborn blaze that ravaged a barn in Morris County over the weekend. The fire broke out in Long Valley around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a Facebook post from Schooley’s Mountain Fire Co. The fire was knocked down within two-and-a-half hours with help from the Washington Township Fire Department and the Long Valley First Aid Squad, the post said. One firefighter was injured in the blaze but refused medical attention, authorities said. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.

Morris County Construction Worker Airlifted After 20-Foot Fall From Roof
A 28-year-old worker was airlifted with serious injuries Wednesday evening after falling approximately 20 feet from the roof of a Long Valley home onto a deck below. The man fell from the roof of the Waldon Road home around 5:30 p.m. and landed on a deck underneath, Washington Police Lt. Mark Niemynski told Daily Voice. Long Valley First Aid Squad arrived and stabilized the worker before he was flown via NorthStar to Morristown Medical Center, authorities said. Additional details were not immediately available.

A Washington Township (Morris County) police officer who spotted a house fire helped the family out moments before it was fully engulfed in flames, authorities said.
