Authorities officially identified a cab driver and passenger who were both killed when a sedan driven by a suspect fleeing police crashed head-on into the taxi at an Elizabeth intersection. Juan Carlos Albear, 54, who was behind the wheel, and Ysabell Gonzalez, 63, were killed in the violent collision at Grand Street and Routes 1&9 shortly before 6 a.m. last Dec 10. A 14-year-old boy whose passenger was carrying a pet parakeet in his backpack led Paramus police on an overnight stolen car chase that ended with a crash down a Hackensack dead end. An officer in Upper Saddle River first spotted the 2015 Hyundai Sonata on Lake Street around 2 a.m. and issued an alert to police in surrounding towns. Both Drivers Hospitalized Following Head-On Crash In Northampton County
Both drivers were hospitalized Sunday evening following a head-on crash in Northampton County, authorities said. The crash occurred on Lehigh Drive at Gap View Drive around 5:35 p.m., Lehigh Township Police Chief Scott Fogel said in a release. An eastbound Hyundai Sonata driven by Tanya Piccolo, 33, of Palmerton, collided head-on with a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Gregory Bredbenner, 61, of Northampton, on Lehigh Drive, Fogel said. Two people were hospitalized after a single-car crash on Route 78 on Tuesday, Oct. 11, authorities said. Firefighters removed the driver and passenger in the Hyundai Sonata that ran off the roadway near Exit 36 and struck. tree just before 10 a.m. on the westbound side in Warren Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
