A mother and daughter bailed out of an SUV moments before it plowed into the side of a commercial building and burst into flames in Leonia, witnesses said. No serious injuries were reported in the crash and resulting fire, which spread into the Wooree Insurance Agency building on Fort Lee Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11. A trash-hauling roll-off truck tipped overnight in Fort Lee, closing a key road near the George Washington Bridge for nearly five hours. Borough firefighters cut out the windshield to free the driver following the crash on the "S" turn from Fletcher Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m. He was taken by members of the Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that responders said weren't considered life-threatening. VIDEO: An explosion leveled an industrial building Wednesday morning in Englewood. "Thank God there's no fatalities, no injuries," Mayor Michael Wildes said. "Looks like a gas explosion."
