A 59-year-old Morris Plains resident was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Denville on Friday, March 8, after initially calling 911 herself, authorities said. At 9:11 p.m., Denville police responded to Paulos Place after Jennifer Jerauld called 911 and said she was lost and needed assistance, officers said. James Allandale, 61, immediately opened fire on officers who found him at the Knights Inn Pinebook on Route 46 in Montville this past New Year's Eve. Denville Post Office Burglarized, Police Say
Police are looking for the thief who took mail from the Denville Post Office, authorities said. Mail was taken from the container outside of the Clark Street building early this week, Denville Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker said. Anyone who placed mail inside of the container between Saturday and Monday is urged to check their banks and credit card companies for fraud, Tucker said. A Rockaway man with three outstanding warrants was arrested after getting into an argument at the Denville train station, said authorities who charged him. James Souto, 38, was denied a ride home from another commuter when the fight broke out around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Denville Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker said.
