Car Plows Through Home In Hunterdon County: Authorities A car crashed into a home in Hunterdon County on the evening of Friday, April 19, authorities said. At 8:40 p.m. a Ford pickup truck was traveling on Charlestown Road in Hampton Borough when the driver lost control, striking the curb and crashing into an unoccupied residence at the intersection of Charlestown Road and New Street, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. Man, 53, Struck, Killed By Freight Train In Bergen A married Haworth father of four was struck and killed by a freight train in Harrington Park late Sunday. Responders said the victim apparently walked the two miles or so to the spot 100 yards or so yards south of the LaRoche Avenue crossing, where he was struck shortly after 4 p.m.  The media executive, who'd worked with major television and Internet companies, was pronounced dead at the scene soon after. A lifelong soccer fan, Tavit had played for two years on his school’s team as well as private club teams such as Summit Hot Spurs, Center Court FC, and the NJ Stallions in Clifton. FedEx Driver Carjacked At Gunpoint In Linden A FedEx truck involved in a collision in Linden Monday was taken at gunpoint, police said.  The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Stiles Street near Valley Road. The FedEx driver told police that someone got out of the other vehicle, pulled a gun on the driver and demanded the keys to the truck.
