Man Hospitalized After Shooting At Allentown Intersection, Police Say A man was shot near an Allentown intersection Thursday evening, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to the shooting report near Jordan and Gordon Streets found the man with a gunshot wound around 6:20 p.m., Allentown Police said in a release. The man was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries expected to be survivable. The investigation was ongoing, and additional details were not released. Police Nab Man Accused Of Shooting Woman Twice During Lehigh Valley Attempted Homicide Police arrested a man they say shot a woman twice in the back during an attempted Lehigh Valley homicide last December. Terell Gailyard is accused of firing a handgun that struck the victim in the back twice during an argument in Bethlehem on Dec. 29, police said. He was arrested on a warrant Thursday evening following an investigation by police in Bethlehem and Allentown, the agencies said. Gailyard was charged with attempted homicide and other similar offenses, police said. "Successful joint operation with our partners at the Bethlehem Police Department," Allentown Police said.

Police: Allentown Man, 22, Found With Unlicensed Gun During Traffic Stop Police in Allentown arrested a man they say was found with an unlicensed firearm during a Wednesday evening traffic stop. Antonio Amezquita Claudio, 22, was found with the gun after he was pulled over near 6th St. and Washington St. just before 6 p.m., Allentown Police said. Claudio, of Allentown, was charged with firearms not to be carried without a license. He also faces marijuana and paraphernalia possession offenses, police said. Claudio is scheduled to appear in court.
