Man Hospitalized After Falling Into Lehigh Valley River, Police Say Emergency crews came to the rescue of a man who fell into a Lehigh Valley river on Thursday, May 19, authorities said. Allentown Police responded to Adams Island and found the victim submerged in the river just after 7:15 p.m., Police Chief Charles Roca said. Officers Kayla Balatgek and Andrew Gehringer immediately entered the river and removed the man from the water, where EMS crews began performing CPR, Roca said. Former Wrestler Dies In Crash Support is rising for a former wrestler killed in a car crash Tuesday. Nicholas Santiago, 20, of Bethlehem, PA, was riding in a car down South 15th Street when it veered off the road and struck a tree, according to the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. He died of blunt force injuries to the torso, and the manner of death was ruled an accident, the coroner's office said.
