Mom Struck By Pickup In Sussex County Driveway Facing Long Road To Recovery, Campaign Says A 38-year-old woman was flown to the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck she'd just started in a Sussex County driveway Thursday, Feb. 22, State Police said. Amy Hickey "partially" entered the Ford pickup — which has a manual transmission — parked in the driveway of a Compton Road home in Wantage and started the vehicle just after 2 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Driver Airlifted In Rt. 15 Sussex County Crash A 38-year-old woman was flown to the hospital in a crash on Route 15 in Sussex County, police said. The woman went off the roadway to the right, hitting a guard rail then overturning on the northbound side of the highway near milepost 13.5 Sunday morning, Oct. 8, Sparta police said. The woman was flown to a hospital out of an abundance of caution for possible head injuries, Detective Lt. Tom Snyder said.
