An 88-year-old Harding woman was reaching into her running vehicle when it rolled down her driveway and into Mt. Kemble Lake Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The car may not have been in park when it struck the woman and rolled over a grass embankment and into the nearby lake around 10:30 a.m., Harding Police Chief Erik Heller said.
The car was fully recovered around 4 p.m. with help from Parsippany and Boonton divers, along with Morris County HazMat, Heller said.
The woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries to the left side of her body, police said.
