Plato's Closet Owner Faces New Child Porn Charges In Morris County: Prosecutor

A 35-year-old Lincoln Park resident accused last December of recording his employees using the bathroom at his clothing store has been hit with new charges, authorities said.

Nicholas Zirpoli, who owns Plato's Closet in Roxbury, is now being accused of recording an underage female employee and a man using the bathroom at separate times in late 2022 and early 2023, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Investigations Robert McNally said.

Zirpoli of Lincoln Park used a device to video record several male and female employees using the restroom and then destroying evidence last February, Carroll and Chief Dean Adone of the Roxbury Township Police Department said. 

Zirpoli has now been charged with manufacturing child pornography, filming a child in a prohibited sexual act, possession of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child, 10 counts of invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence, authorities said. He was remanded to Morris County Correctional Facility and was released on pre-trial monitoring conditions, authorities said.
